GUIPropView Review - A Free Application For Windows
GUIPropView is a handy little application that allows you to see what windows are open and what processes are running. It also comes with a built-in search to identify windows of interest. This program is particularly useful if you have a lot of tasks on your desktop.
It shows you detailed information on all the windows you're currently working with, including a window's title, size, position, and more. The upper pane shows the status of each window, and the lower pane displays a list of the child windows of the current top-level window. The right-click context menu on the lower pane lets you maximize, minimize, or switch to the window.
One of the coolest features of this tool is that it allows you to control the child windows of the top-level window, without having to open it. The interface is quite simple to use, and it allows you to assign tasks to the windows.
There are a number of other nifty features available with the GUIPropView program, such as an IP address finder, a hidden processes and more. It's easy to download and install, and you can run it from anywhere on your system. The application also has a /cfg command-line option that allows you to customize the program.
It also boasts of the nifty one-click 'Copy Clicked Cell' feature that lets you copy the text of an edit control or static window to the clipboard. The 'GetWindowText' feature can also copy text from a list view, tree, or other source.
